Online-forum "Research Consortia" within the UK-Russia University Alliance Programme

On March 16, online-forum "Research Consortia" was held within the UK-Russia University Alliance ProgrammeAim of the Project: to engage Russia's top universities and connect the next generation of Russian science leaders with the UK by expanding partnership and professional development opportunities (to provide a platform for longer term ambitions of engaging universities and researchers). 

The forum showcased the results of the three partnership projects between the universities and research institutions in Russia and Great Britain. The collaboration projects were supported by the UK-Russia University Alliance Programme. 

In the framework of the Forum speakers presented the following projects: 

  1. Project "Arctic Science Priorities: UK-Russia Early Career Researchers Collaborations for Future Sustainability" (Kola Science Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences, UK Polar Network UK Polar Network (UKPN), and APECS Russia National Committee) 

  1. Project "International Scientific Integration of Early Career Researchers" (Yugra State University, University of Tyumen, Nizhnevartovsk State University, Bangor University, University of the Highlands and Islands, and University of the West of England.) 

  1. Project "How did the environment react to climate change during the Devonian time in the European part of the Arctic?" (Institute of Geology (Komi Scientific Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences), Syktyvkar State University, University of Cardiff, University of Cambridge, and University of Southampton) 

Nizhnevartovsk State University is a participant of the project "International Scientific Integration of Early Career Researchers".  Speakers of the Project:

  • Roxane Andersen, Senior Research Fellow, University of the Highlands and Islands, Scotland, United Kingdom 

  • Tatiana Storchak, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor and Head of the Department for Ecology, Nizhnevartovsk State University, Nizhnevartovsk
