On the 4th of April, 2017 Department for Ecology held a research project competition among school pupils and university and college students of the region. The competition was held as a part of Jean Monnet Module “Interaction of environment and human health: Experience of the European Union” activities.

On April 4, among students of higher education institutions and students of colleges and schools of Russia was held.

The contest was held within the framework of the section "Environment and Human Health" of the 20th National Student Research Conference of Nizhnevartovsk State University. After the review, 33 research works from 10 universities, 2 colleges and 6 schools of Russia were admitted to the competition.

The purpose of the competition was to involve university, callege and school students in research activities aimed at studying the environmental impact on human health in Russia and the countries of the European Union, demonstrate the best achievements of students, the experience of educational institutions in organizing the research activities of students, the dissemination of European experience and knowledge in the field of the relationship between the environment and public health.

The themes of research were diverse and relevant, they can be grouped into the following sections: Impact of Environmental Factors on Human Health, Environmentally Dependent Diseases, Nutrition and Human Health, Adaptation of the Human Body in Adverse Environmental Conditions.
