Vocational Training Course on Ergotherapy

March 19-23: NSUH Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology and School of Health and Social Studies of JAMK University of Applied Sciences (Finland), jointly held a professional training devoted to the basics of ergotherapy.

 

In terms of the agreement on academic cooperation, Nizhnevartovsk State University of Humanities and School of Health and Social Studies from JAMK University of Applied Sciences, Jyväskylä (Finland), under the support of the Department of Social Protection for the Publicin Nizhnevartovsk and Nizhnevartovsk District, organized a training course for social and medical workers.

Senior Lecture from JAMK University Maaret Rutanen was a moderator of the training and was also responsible for its evaluation. Lectures were translated by JAMK teacher, Päivi Virolainen-Kalpio. 55 social sphere specialists, medical workers from the town and the region, NSUH teachers and students attended the training. 

 During the training the following topics were covered:

1.      Introduction to ergothrapy: occupational therapy as the main part of ergotherapy

2.      Main directions of ergotherapy in neurophysiology for adults and children.

3.      The basics of adaptation in living space.

4.      training of self-help techniques in everyday life for disabled people
