Department for Commerce and Management was established in September, 2008. Since its beginning, the Department prioritized innovation and growth. The Department aims to serve as the venue for sucessful development of future managers, economists, traders, marketing managers, economics teachers.
The teaching staff is represented by highly qualified specialists: professors, doctors of sciences, associate professors, candidates of sciences, senior teachers.
PRIORITIES AND RESEARCH
Department is involved in research and scientific work on current trends and issues in management of social and economical development.
The direction of this work was determined by the following factors:

Statement of work for research aimed at amending Strategy for Regional Social and Economic Development of Khanty-Mansiysk District – Yugra for 2020 until 2030.

Road maps for Strategy for Regional Social and Economic Development of Khanty-Mansiysk District – Yugra for 2020 until 2030.
The work proved to be fruitful. There were published 2 monographs, 2 study guides, 5 articles in journals recognized by the Higher Attestation Commission, over 40 articles in journals included in Russian Science Citation Index, over 80 student research papers.
ACHIEVEMENTS
- Professors and teachers of the department are members of working group on strategy development for regional program “Lean Region in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District – Yugra”.
- The Department is implementing Jean Monnet Module "Standardization in Product Quality Management: EU Experience and Cooperation Prospects”, 574925-EPP-1-2016-1-RU-EPPJMO-MODULE approved for funding within the European Commission in 2016. Academic Coordinator of the Module is Inna Volkova, Doctor of Economics. Read more about the Module
- Bachelor program Trading (Merchandise, Goods Examination) was awarded the Best Education Program of NVSU in 2015. The award was given based on the results of national expert vote conducted by National Centre for Public Accreditation, The National Guild of Experts in Higher Education, and national journal “Accreditation in Education”.
