Representative from Liepaja University (Latvia) Patriks Morevs visited NVSU
October 4-6 Patriks Morevs, Head of Foreign Affairs Department and lecturer at the Department of Natural Sciences and Engineering at Liepaja University (Liepaja, Latvia), visited Nizhnevartovsk State University. NVSU signed a cooperation agreement with Liepaja University in 2016, adding yet another European partner on the map of international cooperation of NVSU.

Department for Commerce and Management launches Jean Monnet Module “Developing Green Skills for Entrepreneurship and Business Based on the EU Experience”
Within 2016 call, 833 applications have been submitted from all around the world. 141 applications were approved for funding, among which are 11 projects involving Russian Universities and educational institutions. NVSU submitted 8 applications: 6 modules, one project, one chair. Module “Developing Green Skills for Entrepreneurship and Business Based on the EU Experience” (587650-EPP-1-2017-1-RU-EPPJMO-MODULE) was approved for funding. Module Academic Coordinator is Oksana Kozlova, Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Department for Commerce and Management, Module Coordinator is Inna Volkova Head of the Department for Commerce and Management On September 19, 2017 the department officially launched the module and hosted a kick-off seminar for students studying “Trade” and “Management”.

Student from University of Barcelona experiences Russian culture and hospitality
University of Barcelona and NVSU have a long-standing partnership that allows both sides to have exchange programs for both students and faculty. During the last three years universities have successfully participated in academic mobility projects within Eranet and Erasmus+ programmes. From 2013 to 2017 six NVSU teachers and eight students took training at the University of Barcelona. This year the universities have been awarded mobility grants within the Erasmus+ programme, Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals. As a result, the number of NVSU students and teachers to study or take internships at the University of Barcelona will double comparing to the previous year.

Jean Monnet grant holders discuss implementation of the projects during the new academic year
On September 7, 2017 NVSU held a working meeting with coordinators of Jean Monnet Modules, approved for funding within 2015 and 2016 calls for proposals of the Erasmus+ Programme. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss submitted intermediate reports, approve the budget allocated for the new academic year as well as working plans for 2017-2018. The meeting was attended by Denis Pogonyshev, Vice-Rector for Licensing and Accreditation, Irina Pogonysheva, Assistant Professor of the Department for Ecology (Jean Monnet Module “Interaction of environment and human health: Experience of the EU”), Inna Volkova, Head of the Department for Commerce and Management and Oksana Kozlova, professor of the Department for Commerce and Management (Jean Monnet Module “Standardization in Product Quality Management: EU Experience and Cooperation Prospects”, Jean Monnet Module “Developing Green Skills for Entrepreneurship and Business Based on the EU Experience”), Lala Yakubova, Head of the Department for Document Science and General history (Jean Monnet Module “The European Union Social Policy”), Nadezhda Nemchinova, Head of International office and staff members of International Office.

Working meeting of the UNISON project was held at NVSU
On September 8, 2017 NVSU held a working meeting devoted to implementation of the UNISON project “University-enterprise cooperation via spin-off companies network” , which was approved for funding within 2016 call for proposals of the Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 2: Cooperation for Innovation and Exchange of Good Practices/ Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education. The meeting was attended by NVSU project team: Denis Pogonyshev, Vice-Rector for Licensing and Accreditation, Nadezhda Nemchinova, Head of International office, Oksana Yakovishak, Project Manager and faculty representatives: Marina Khudzhina, Dean of  the Faculty for Information Technologies and Mathematics, Tufik Kaziakhmedov, Head of the Department for Computer Science and Methods of Teaching Computer Science, Maksim Sliva, Assistant Professor of the Department for Computer Science and Methods of Teaching Computer Science, Inna Volkova, Head of the Department for Commerce and Management and Oksana Kozlova, Professor of the Department for Commerce and Management.

Staff meeting on the results of Erasmus+ 2016 application campaign was held in NVSU
On September, 7th, NVSU hosted a staff meeting where participants and interested parties discussed results of Erasmus+ 2016 application campaign.

Nizhnevartovsk State University launched The Erasmus+ KA107 for incoming teaching mobility from JAMK University of Applied Science
The Nizhnevartovsk State University in cooperation with JAMK University of Applied Science under the framework of the Erasmus+ project (KA107) between programme institutions and partner institutions has been awarded with scholarships for student and staff. Accordingly, the Nizhnevartovsk State University announces the Call for applications for awarding financial supports to individual teaching mobility from JAMK University of Applied Science, the objective of which is teaching at the Nizhnevartovsk State University. All incoming activities supported within this call are coordinated and administered by JAMK University of Applied Science.

Results of allocation of quotas for foreign citizens and persons without Russian citizenship to study in Russian HEIs
Government of Russia established quota for education of foreign citizens and persons without Russian citizenship in order to attract more international students to Russian educational institutions and create favourable conditions for the students. Allocation of quotas to foreign countries is carried out annually by the Ministry of International Affairs, Federal Agency for CIS Affairs and Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
