Erasmus+ UNISON project sums up in China
On September 18-20, 2019, the final conference to sum up the results of the Erasmus+ UNISON project (University-Enterprise Cooperation via Spin-Off Companies Network) was held in Yantai (China). The event was organized by the Chinese partners of the project: Yantai Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Ludong University and Yantai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone. The conference was attended by representatives of 13 project partners: University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (Portugal), Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (Georgia), Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University (Georgia), Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (Russia), Saint-Petersburg State University of Economics (Russia), Perm State University (Russia).

Implementing Jean Monnet Projects in Russia: Best Practices
On September 18, the Delegation of the European Union to Russia together with the National Erasmus+ Office in Russia held the conference “Implementation of the Jean Monnet Project in Russia: Examples of Best Practices”,  dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Jean Monnet Project, the conference was attended by representatives of higher education institutions in Russia and academic coordinators of Jean Monnet Projects, who have successfully completed the project proposals and implemented the projects funded by the European Commission. Markus Ederer, the EU Ambassador to Russia, and Boris Zhelezov, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, welcomed conference participantsat the opening ceremony.

New horizons of cooperation with PR China
Nizhnevartovsk State University has signed a cooperation agreement with the Yantai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone. The signing ceremony took part in Yantai (PRC) as part of the final conference, the participants of which summed up the implementation of the Erasmus+ UNISON project “University-enterprise cooperation via spin-off companies network””. The structure of the company Yantai Hi-Tech includes the Sino-Russian innovative technology park, the largest in China. Residents of the technology park are 1,100 Chinese enterprises and organizations that actively cooperate with Russian partners. In 2010, by order of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, this Hi-tech industrial park was awarded the status of a national business incubator. It was also recognized as the forward innovative technology centre in Shandong Province.

NVSU launches a portal of the spin-off companies network
On September 18-20, the final conference to sum up the Erasmus+ UNISON project "University-enterprise cooperation via spin-off companies network " was held in Yantai (China). The conference was joined by the representatives of 13 partner universities. During the event, NVSU presented a portal of the spin-off companies network.The portal of the spin-off companies network http://www.unison.nvsu.ru/  is the international network of spin-off companies, universities and other organizations involved in organizing issues within academic innovation. The project will be the first network of its kind. It will combine the spin-off companies created in partner universities from the EU, Russia, Georgia and China. The virtual network will allow universities and companies to establish strong national and international relations in the field of science, business and education.  The portal will become a platform allowing stakeholders located in different countries to work on the development, production and launch of innovative products in international markets.

The call is now open for the course “Translation Studies” for international students
The course runs from February 1, 2020 to June 19, 2020. The course “ Translation Studies ” gives an introduction into the study of languages. With the support of the basic linguistic terminology that is offered in the course, you will soon be able to comment differences between languages. Anyone who wishes to understand how languages work, and how they can give us insight into the human mind is very welcome to join.

The call for applications “Psychology in Teacher Education” within Erasmus + KA1 is now open
Application deadline is November 1, 2019. The course “Psychology in Teacher Education” targets students of social education, early childhood education and student teachers for pre-primary and primary schools. It includes the traineeship at schools and educational centers which is aimed at developing professional competences of future teachers by improving their theoretical knowledge in teaching method.

NVSU is to develop a joint master degree program with JAMK University of Applied Sciences
NVSU members Denis Pogonyshev, First Vice-Rector, Vice-Rector for Research, Gennady Malgin, Vice-Rector for Education and Oksana Moroz, Head of International Office, have visited JAMK University of Applied Sciences in Jyväskylä. The visit was a part of the Erasmus+ 2014-2020 program project, Key Action 1: Individual mobility for students and teachers. The parties have discussed the prospects for developing a joint master’s program in International Business, which will allow students from NVSU and JAMK University of Applied Sciences to study at both universities and receive two diplomas. The project seems promising due to similarities in curriculum and module content, academic schedules, and requirements for the development of business / entrepreneurship programs in two institutions. The program development is to be launched in September 2019.

NVSU takes part in the Arctic Arts Summit 2019 in Finland
On June 3-5, 2019, Svetlana Kravchenko, Head of the Department for Architecture, Design and Decorative Arts, and Victoria Kondratyeva, Academic Mobility Coordinator of the International Office, took part in the international Arctic Arts Summit 2019. Organized by the international associa​​​​​​​tion Universities of the Arctic, the event was held at the University of Lapland in Rovaniemi (Finland). The summit has attracted more than 400 teachers, researchers, artists, designers from Russia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Canada, Great Britain, Greenland, the USA, Iceland, Denmark, etc. During the first day of the summit, NVSU members joined the members of The Arctic Network of Sustainable Art and Design for the session, where they presented Nizhnevartovsk State University and its Department for Architecture, Design and Decorative Arts. NVSU has been the network member since March 2019.

Final Research and Practical Conference “Intercultural Dialogue and Collaboration of the EU and Russia: Implementation of Jean Monnet Projects at NVSU”
On April 15-19, NVSU held the Final Research and Practical Conference “Intercultural Dialogue and Collaboration of the European Union and Russia: Implementation of Jean Monnet Projects at Nizhnevartovsk State University”. Held with the view to summarize and transmit the results of Jean Monnet projects implemented at Nizhnevartovsk State University, the conference was aimed at boosting up knowledge about the European integration and the issues of the EU environment, history, economics and legislation. The conference objectives included bringing the European dimension to the educational process of NVSU, sharing experiences on teaching and research related to the European Union, stimulating the students and teaching staff to participate in European scientific and technological cooperation programs, raising awareness of the Erasmus+ and Jean Monnet programs, reinforcing the dialogue between the academic environment and the professional community, consolidating the efforts of professional communities in the effective implementation of the best EU practices, stimulating teaching, research and discussion activities on EU related issues, increasing the student and staff mobility study the EU experience, and increasing the level of academic knowledge on the European integration.

The Conference included the Panel Session “Strategies of Biodiversity Conservation in the European Union and Russia: Best Practices and Cooperation Prospects” organized within Jean Monnet Project “Promoting biodiversity conservation in RF via advanced EU practices, project No. 600034-EPP-1-2018-1-RU-EPPJMO-PROJECT, supported by the European Commission. The conference was organized by the Nizhnevartovsk State University, Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education.
