Jean Monnet project officially launched at NVSU

Jean Monnet project, supported in 2021, has been officially launched at NVSU: Jean Monnet Chair "EU policy responses and effective solutions to protecting the environment and human health from climate change) / 101047553 - HEALTH". 

Project Coordinators:

  • Denis Pogonyshev, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor of Department for Ecology; 
  • Irina Pogonysheva, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor of Department for Ecology;
  • Tatiana Storchak, Head of Department for Ecology, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor;
  • Vera Kuznetsova, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor of Department for Geography.

Timeframe: 2022 – 2025.

Main Objective: to stimulate teaching, research and debate on European policy responses and approaches to protecting environment and human health from climate change in order to contribute to enhanced environmental security efforts, reinforced preventative actions, improved healthcare legislation and raised public awareness.

Target groups: Bachelor's and Master's degree students in Ecology and Environmental Management, Biology, Environmental and Water Resources Management, Teacher Education (Health and Safety Education).
