Within the second call for proposals of the Erasmus+ program Nizhnevartovsk State University submitted 4 applications for Jean Monnet Activities. As a result, 3 applications were approved for funding by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission. Jean Monnet Module “Standardization in Product Quality Management: EU Experience and Cooperation Prospects” submitted by the department for commerce and management is one of the applications selected for funding in 2016.
On December 8, 2016 The department officially launched the module and hosted a kick-off seminar for students. Project coordinators Inna Volkova, head of the department for commerce and management, and Oksana Kozlova, the professor of the department presented the overview of the Module, its goals and objectives, expected outcomes and its content. Yana Kraychinskaya, International Office Staff Member, delivered a presentation on the Jean Monnet program, grant types and opportunities for students.
Students studying Trading and Management participated in a business simulation exercise devoted to the leading topic of the Module, Product Quality Management. During this exercises they were given an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills of problem solving techniques within this topic.

For information, Jean Monnet program is aimed at stimulating teaching, research and reflection in the field of European integration studies at the level of higher education institutions within and outside the European Community, increasing knowledge about the processes of European integration in relation to history, politics, economy and European Union legislation and the EU's relations with other regions of the world. The main objective of the program is to bring the European dimension to the systems of higher education.
