All-Russian forum "Yugra International 2024" was held at Nizhnevartovsk State University. The event brought together 100 students, including 70 international students who are currently studying at Russian universities.
Ivan Khlebnikov, Head of the Youth Policy Department of the Ministry of Youth Policy, Civil Initiatives and External Relations of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous area - Yugra, made a speech at the opening of the forum: "Traditionally, NVSU acts as meeting place for young people from different countries and cultures. The Forum will draw attention of young leaders to such important topics as employment, business and entrepreneurship. The practice-oriented programme of the forum will provide participants with unique opportunity to learn a lot of new and useful things".
Dmitry Lavrov, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs and Digitalization emphasized that Russia is always open to different specialists and entrepreneurs who would like to set up business in the country. Igor Anfalov, Deputy Director for Prospective Planning and Project Activity in Yugra, started the plenary session with a report on startup support.
For three days participants were working on interactive platforms at 3 different tracks “Business and Entrepreneurship”, “Business planning”, "Employment. Yugra enterprises". Students learnt how to generate business ideas, create business models and pitch their projects. Participants had training sessions with regional and Russian experts, business coaches and entrepreneurs. As part of the forum, participants went on excursions to Nizhnevartovsk's industrial enterprises.
Participants enjoyed working with the experts. Students were inspired by their teamwork, also they learnt a lot about the history of Yugra.
"I am very happy to be here. Forum organisers are very hospitable, the participants are friendly. The atmosphere at the forum is amazing. Next year I would like to take part in this event again to continue developing teamwork skills. I would also like to improve my presentation skills and learn to speak Russian fluently", said Dang Hai Nguyen, a Vietnamese student who studies at Tyumen State University.
"3 days of the Forum were full of activities. There was a lot of practice, fascinating excursions and interesting lectures. I got acquainted with almost all the participants, including many international students from different universities of Russia. It was great to hear them speaking Russian. Sometimes I had to help international students interpret for them into English. It was a great practice English language practice. At the end of the forum, students presented developed business projects. Teams analysed risks and opportunities of their business models. Key experts noted the potential of each business idea. All participants received souvenirs from forum organisers and partners of the Forum.
