15.01.2019 A business simulation game held at NVSU within a Jean Monnet project
In November, 2018, NVSU held a business simulation game within the courses of Standardization in Product Quality Management: EU Experience and Cooperation Prospects and Strategic Management for 3rd and 4th year students. The game was arranged and directed by Inna Volkova, Professor of the Department for Commerce and Management. This business simulation game contributed to the active study of educational material, practice of skills, and the ability to search for the required information, make decisions and forecast. The students received a great opportunity to practice modern ways of business and management, apply the knowledge and skills mastered within the study courses and develop business strategies with an account for national and international standards. The jury of the game included NVSU graduates of the Faculty of Economics and Management, now actively involved in business, management and entrepreneurship.

15.01.2019 Jean Monnet-2018 officially launched in Brussels
Jean Monnet-2018 projects were officially launched in Brussels. The meeting was attended by representatives of projects selected within the call for proposals (EAC / A05 / 2017), representatives of the Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture (EACEA) and colleagues from the European Commission. The Jean Monnet team of the Executing Agency held information sessions answering numerous questions on the operational and financial aspects of the projects. At the meeting, representatives from Russia and other countries shared their experience of project implementation and discussed cooperation prospects. In 2018, Nizhnevartovsk State University received the European Commission financial support in two Jean Monnet program actions within the call of proposals. In Brussels, the university was presented by Tatiana Storchak, Head of the Department for Ecology, Faculty of Ecology and Engineering.

15.01.2019 NVSU holds a research and practice seminar “Studying the interaction of environment and human health: experience of the European Union”
On November 22, 2018, NVSU Faculty of Ecology and Engineering held a research and practical seminar “Studying the interaction of environment and human health: experience of the European Union”. The seminar was arranged within the Jean Monnet Module project “Interaction of Environment and Human Health: Experience of the European Union”, No. 2016-2592 / 001-001, 574826-EPP-1-2016-1-RU-EPPJMO-MODULE. The project supported by the European Commission is coordinated by Irina Pogonysheva and Denis Pogonyshev.

15.01.2019 A meeting of Erasmus+ Student and Alumni Association held at NVSU
NVSU has held another meeting of Erasmus+ ambassadors. The meeting was joined by members of NVSU International Office and students who took part in the program and studied at the European partner universities. Erasmus+ Students and Alumni Association is an association created to coordinate and support Erasmus+ program in NVSU, increase student mobility and raise overall awareness about Erasmus+ program opportunities. The meeting agenda included the following issues: • the schedule of upcoming meetings and events; • dissemination of program results and positive experience; • information support of the association’s social networks; • activities for foreign students at studying at NVSU in 2019 (Human Library, Speaking Club and Cinema Club).

15.01.2019 International cooperation: Learning mobility of Individuals
On October 2-7, 2018, Marina Khuzhina, the Dean of NVSU Faculty of Information Technology and Mathematics, visited Liepaja University (Liepaja, Latvia). The visit was supported by the European Union’s Erasmus+ 2014-2020 program as part of the academic mobility project approved for funding in 2018 (Key Action 1: Learning mobility of individuals) between NVSU and Liepaja University. During the visit, Marina Khudzhina had a meeting with students of the faculties of Natural Sciences and Engineering and Humanities and Arts, and gave a joint lecture to students specializing in information technologies. In addition, she met with Zanda Gutmane, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, as well as heads of educational programs and teachers, and visited various workshops and studios. As Zanda Gutmane said, the Faculty of Humanities and Arts at Liepaja University is particularly interested in exchanging students with Russian universities, since learning Russian language will significantly increase students’ competitiveness in the labor market. Marina Khudzhina also met with Liepaja University vice-rectors for education and research. The parties agreed to continue academic mobility of students and faculty members and implement joint research and educational projects.

14.11.2018 UNISON project: A consortium session in Georgia
On September 24-25, the consortium of the UNISON project "University-Enterprise Cooperation via Spin-off Companies Network” met at Tbilisi State University (Tbilisi, Georgia) and Telavi State University (Telavi, Georgia). The session was attended by NVSU representatives Anatoly Klochkov, First Vice-Rector, Burkit Makhutov, Vice-Rector for Further Education, Irina Yezhukova, Director of the Career Center, Alexander Zhidelev, Leading Engineer of the Career Center, and Oksana Yakovishak, Acting Head of the International Office. On September 24, the consortium members discussed the project performance over the reporting period at Tbilisi State University. The representatives of hosting university spoke about the Technology Transfer Office launched as part of the UNISON project. Also, members of Georgian partner universities presented one of the key results of the UNISON project, namely a virtual platform, which is an effective mechanism for cooperation, sharing experience and finding potential partners among spin-off companies.

14.11.2018 Jean Monnet projects officially launched at NVSU
Jean Monnet projects, supported in 2018, have been officially launched at NVSU: Jean Monnet Module “Environment, Health and Climate change: Facing the Challenges and Adapting to Impacts: Experience of the European Union / 600178-EPP-1-2018-1-RU-EPPJMO-MODULE/CLIMEU”. Project coordinators: Irina Pogonysheva Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Ecology; Denis Pogonyshev, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Ecology; Vera Kuznetsova, Candidate of Geological Sciences, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Geography. Jean Monnet Project “Promoting Biodiversity Conservation in RF via Advanced EU Practices” / 600034-EPP-1-2018-1-RU-EPPJMO-PROJECT/BIOCON. Project coordinators: Tatyana Storchak, Head of the Department of Ecology, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor; Irina Pogonysheva, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Assistant Professor of the Department of Ecology. On October 12, NVSU held the first informational seminar “Jean Monnet: Successful Experience of the Project Application”, attended by university teachers, undergraduates and bachelors of the Faculty of Ecology and Engineering, as well as representatives of local ecology and environmental management companies. The First Vice-Rector Denis Pogonyshev spoke on the experience and prospects of Erasmus+ programme at NVSU.

09.10.2018 The call for applications “Russian Philology” within Erasmus + KA1 is now open
The call is now open for the course “Russian Philology” for international students. The course runs from February, 2019 to June, 2019. Application deadline is November 1, 2018. NVSU offers incoming students comprehensive course “Russian Philology”. The course improves speech activity (listening, reading, speaking and writing) and interpersonal communication in formal and informal situations. The course targets students of Slavonic languages, Russian and foreign literature. The language of instruction: Russian. The course modules: 1. Types of Cultural Consciousness (5 ECTS). This module is designed to acquaint students with common traditions, including historical literary methods. The course implies a theoretical study of the literary process, determining the exact chronology of each period in the world literature.

03.10.2018 The call for applications “Psychology in Teacher Education” within Erasmus + KA1 is now open
The call is now open for the course “Psychology in Teacher Education” for international students. The course runs from March 1, 2019 to May 31, 2019. Application deadline is November 1st. Erasmus+ is the EU programme for education, training, youth and sport, designed to be more global and more integrated than ever before. The programme offers a wide range of opportunities for students and staff to study and train abroad. The Erasmus + funds international credit mobility for students to study in a receiving institution for a period of 3-12 months. Students  can  also  do  a traineeship abroad for a period of 2 to 12 months.

14.09.2018 The call for applications "Linguistics" within Erasmus + KA1 is now open
The call is now open for the course “Linguistics” for international students. The course runs from February 2019 to June 2019. Deadline for applications is November 1st, 2018 The Erasmus+ Programme is a European funding programme offering university students a possibility of studying or doing an internship abroad in another country for a period of at least 2 months and maximum 12 months per cycle of studies. Erasmus+ now offers the possibility to go way beyond the European borders as well.

NVSU students continue to successfully participate Erasmus+ Program (Key Action 1: "Individual mobility of students and teachers").

09.08.2018 Lecturers from University College of South Denmark visited NVSU
As part of the staff and faculty mobility between Nizhnevartovsk State University and the University College of Southern Denmark (UCSYD) for the Erasmus + 2014-2020 program, from 24 to 26 April, 2 lecturers from UCSYD, Minea Neygaard and Paul Knudsen, Department of Social Education arrived for a a study visit.

09.08.2018 International Academic Mobility of Staff and Teachers
Elena Bauer, Associate Professor at the Department for Pedagogy and Pedagogical and Social Education at Nizhnevartovsk State University, returned from study visit to Denmark. Ms Bauer was on a working visit to the University College of Southern Denmark (UCSYD) from May 14 to 19. UCSYD is a long-standing partner within the framework of the Erasmus + program (Key Action 1: Mobility of students and teachers).

08.08.2018 Successful Training at University of Barcelona
From May 13 to 20, 2018, Anna Belkova, Associate Professor of the Department of Philology and Mass Communications (Faculty of Humanities), undertook practical treining at the University of Barcelona and delivered a series of lectures in the field of The Russian Language and the Culture of Speech for students of UdB.

08.08.2018 International Student Mobility: New Grantholders
NVSU students continue to successfully participate in the competitions of the European Erasmus + program within the framework of the Key Action 1: "Individual mobility of students and teachers". Erasmus + scholarship is the most prestigious European grant for students and teachers. The scholarship covers all costs associated with staying and studying at a foreign university (transportation costs, accommodation, visa costs, etc.).

07.08.2018 Annual Jean Monnet Coordinators Meeting
The coordinators of Jean Monnet modules in Nizhnevartovs State University gathered to wrap up 2017-2018 academic year year, audit the activities, monitor the financial plan and discuss the work plan for the next academic year. At the moment, Nizhnevartovsk State University is implementing 4 Jean Monnet modules in four different areas.

07.08.2018 Best Student Business Idea
Students of the Faculty of Economics and Management took part in the contest "The Best Student Business Idea". The contest is organized by the Ugra Entrepreneurship Support Fund as part of the Program "Development of Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurship".

07.08.2018 Department of Commerce and Management finished Jean Monnet course
Faculty of Economics and Management concluded the first year of the training course withing Jean Monnet Module "Developing Green Skills for Entrepreneurship and Business Based on the EU Experience"
