NVSU educational programs have successfully passed public and professional accreditation

On December 16-18, 2013, Nizhnevartovsk State University was subjected to external expertise of educational programs in the following training fields: 050100.62 “Pedagogic Education” (Foreign Language) and 13.00.01 “General Pedagogy, History of Pedagogy and Education”.

The Expert Commission assessed the activities of the University in terms of the following seven international quality standards:

Standard 1. Educational program policy (objectives, strategy of university development) and quality assurance procedures.

Standard 2. Approval, monitoring and periodic evaluation of the educational program.

Standard 3. Assessing the level of student knowledge/competencies.

Standard 4. Assuring the quality and competence of the teaching staff.

Standard 5. Teaching resources and provision.

Standard 6. Information systems ensuring the effective implementation of the educational program.

Standard 7. Public information.

The external Expert Commission met with the university administration, officers responsible for accreditation, heads of departments, faculty deans, students, teachers, graduates and employers.

On March 21, a meeting of the National Accreditation Board was held in Yoshkar-Ola. The meeting adopted a decision to accredit the cluster of educational programs in the field of “Pedagogic Education” for the period of 6 years.
