Results of Research on EU Programs presented in Moscow

On 26-27 March Professor of the Department for Commerce and Management, Faculty of Economics and Management, Inna Volkova participated in the Annual International Research Conference "Modern Entrepreneurial Education" hosted by the National Association for Entrepreneurship Training.

Ms Volkova gave a presentation "Project-based education for skills of environmental entrepreneurship for students" within moderated discussion on entrepreneurial competencies as learning outcomes.

Within the work for two international projects, Jean Monnet Module “Developing Green Skills for Entrepreneurship and Business Based on the EU Experience” and "University-enterprise cooperation via spin-off companies network", the staff Faculty of Economics and Management conducted a research "Ecological entrepreneurship: a study of the professional competencies of young people". The conducted research shows that 18,6% of Nizhnevartovsk State University students would like to become entrepreneurs, and note significance of ecological entrepreneurship for regional economic development.

Project-based training has been found to be effective in developing start up thinking and competences. Success of startups and spin off companies depends on the support given to beginning entrepreneurs in terms of infrastructure, whereas students are required to demonstrate willingness and determination to apply acquired skills in real life setting.

The project “Developing Green Skills for Entrepreneurship and Business Based on the EU Experience”, 587650-EPP-1-2017-1-RU-EPPJMO-MODULE, is co-financed by European Commission within the framework of Jean Monnet Actions.
