The University College South Denmark and NVSU started their cooperation in September 2013 while working under the project "Social Integration of Minority and Migrant Children” within Nordic-Russian Cooperation Program. During their visit to Aabenraain Denmark in May 2013, the representatives from NVSUsigned an official memorandum of cooperation and a supplementary agreement on student exchange with the University College South Denmark and appointed the date of the return visit to NVSU.

During their visit to Nizhnevartovsk State University, the Danish delegation met with NVSU administration to discuss promising areas of cooperation in terms of academic mobility, joint work under international projects, and practical training and internships for students. The parties confirmed their intentions to implement previously signed agreements and discussed the work plan for the period of 2015-2016.

The Danish guests also had a chance to meet with the university staff, teachers and students from the Faculties of Humanities, Geography and Natural Sciences, Pedagogy and Psychology, Physical Training and Sports, which areactively involved in international activities of the university.

The representatives of the University College South Denmark showed much interest in the principles of practical student work and learning process. During their visit to “Rosinka” Kindergarten, Secondary School #23, and Center for Social Assistance to Families and Children "Kardea", which serve as practical work sites for NVSU students, the guests got familiar with the system of planning and ensuring practical work in the relevant professional fields.

The issue of interaction between the working community and universities is a priority development area in the modern educational process, especially within the programs realized and supported by the European Commission, therefore this visit and experience gained are of a particular professional interest. It is worth mentioning that since December 2013 Nizhnevartovsk State University has been taking part in the project "Evaluation of Quality of Cooperation in Education Ecosystem as a Mechanism for Building Professional Competencies"within TEMPUS IV Program, approved for funding by the European Commission.
