The laboratory staff is working on the topic "Linguistic pedagogical concept of problem-based foreign language teaching". The laboratory investigates the problems of teaching a foreign language, develops theoretical and methodological foundations of the "Linguistic pedagogical concept of problem-based foreign language teaching", models of problem-based learning reflecting current trends, organizes and conducts scientific and practical conferences, trainings and seminars, as well as consultations on a foreign language. All research is conducted with the aim of creating linguopedagogy as a new branch of pedagogy.
The linguistic pedagogical concept of problem-based foreign language teaching is focused on:
- disclosure of the theoretical and methodological foundations of linguistic and pedagogical categories, linguistic pedagogical models, linguistic pedagogical experiment in problem-based foreign language teaching;
- development of educational programs and corresponding educational complexes (manuals) for professional retraining and advanced training of teachers and foreign language lecturer of schools and universities in Yugra;
- organizing and conducting scientific and practical conferences and seminars on linguistic and pedagogical research in the context of problem-based education at school and university.
The results of the research are used in organizing the process of teaching foreign languages to students of non-linguistic specialties of the university, as well as in conducting advanced training courses.
