On April 8, 2022, NVSU Department for Russian History and Document Science held the introductory lecture "European Union: History and the Present" within Jean Monnet Module "EU integration: experience, achievements and modern challenges".

Organizers of the event:

·         Lala Yakubova, Head of the Department for Russian History and Document Science;

·         Lyudmila Bespalova, Associate Professor of the Department for Russian History and Document Science.

Lala Yakubova introduced students to general information on EU countries, European Union origin, changing EU economy that kept focusing on underlying principle "United in Diversity". Lyudmila Bespalova spoke on the relationship between the European Union and the United States, preservation of civilization and global problems.

At the end of the lecture students participated in the Quiz "What do we know about the EU?". Students answered questions on the EU economy and politics. All of the participants were awarded participation certificates.
