Researchers of British universities will give a series of lectures on ecology and biology as part of the project "International scientific integration of early career researchers (ISInCAR)". Consortium of the Project includes 3 British universities: Bangor University (Wales), University of the Highlands and Islands (Scotland), University of the West of England (England).

The first online meeting was held on February 2 and devoted to peatlands and climate change. Researchers delivered the following presentations:

  • "Peatlands and Climate Change", Prof Roxane Andersen, Senior Research Fellow, University of Highlands and Islands (Scotland);
  • "Drought and Mechanical Resilience in the Flow Country Blanket Peatlands", Dr Chris Marshall, Peatland Scientist, University of Highlands and Islands (Scotland).

At the end of the meeting students took part in an interactive discussion.
