Within the second call for proposals of the Erasmus+ program Nizhnevartovsk State University submitted 4 applications for Jean Monnet Activities. As a result, 3 applications were approved for funding by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission. Jean Monnet Module “Interaction of environment and human health: Experience of the EU” (574826-EPP-1-2016-1-RU-EPPJMO-MODULE) submitted by the Department for Ecology and coordinated by Irina Pogonysheva and Denis Pogonyshev is one of the applications selected for funding in 2016.
On December 16, 2016 the Department for Ecology officially introduced the Module “Interaction of environment and human health: Experience of the EU” to the target groups, bachelor and master students of NVSU, professors from the Department for Ecology, Department for Engineering, and representatives of local establishments working in the field of ecology and environment management. The presentations during the seminar were devoted to Jean Monnet program, grant types and opportunities for students. Irina Pogonysheva, the project coordinator, gave an overview of the module, its goals and objectives, content, expected results and the dissemination plan.
The module “Interaction of environment and human health: Experience of the EU” is developed for master and bachelor students studying biology and ecology and environmental management. It will foster awareness of European research and practices of managing human interaction with the environment and its implication for health matters.
