08.06.2016 NVSU held an international seminar “Building capacities of international units and departments”
On May 16-19, 2016, NVSU held the international seminar “Building capacities of international units and departments” within the project “Bridging the cooperation gap: Nordic-Russian Network for International Relations in Higher Education”. The seminar was attended by the members of JAMK University of Applied Sciences (Jyvӓskylӓ, Finland), University College of South Denmark (Haderslev, Denmark), Yugra State University (Khanty–Mansiysk, Russia) as well as NVSU International Office staff members, teachers and students.

07.06.2016 UC SYD representatives visited NVSU within the Erasmus+ staff mobility program
On May 17 – 19, 2016, Mette Ernlund, Head of International department, and Martin Brunsgaard, International coordinator of the department for Social Education from the University College South Denmark, paid a working visit to the Nizhnevartovsk State University within the Erasmus + staff mobility program between the Nizhnevartovsk State University and the University College of South Denmark. During their visit the Mette Ernlund and Martin Brunsgaard joined the meeting with the NVSU representatives of the Faculty of pedagogy and psychology which was devoted to the discussions on structures of practical training for preschool education and psychology of education and perspectives for cooperation between NVSU and UCSYD in the field of research.

02.06.2016 “Study in Europe: Denmark and Finland”. Information workshop at NVSU
On May 19, 2016, NVSU held an information workshop on studying in Europe, this time devoted to Denmark and Finland. The workshop was attended by the members of JAMK University of Applied Sciences (Jyvӓskylӓ, Finland) and University College South Denmark (Aabenraa, Denmark). The workshop was a part of the series of workshops devoted to European education and also the final event of international seminar “Building capacities of international units and departments" within the project "Bridging the cooperation gap: Nordic-Russian Network for International Relations in Higher Education”.

06.05.2016 Professor Marc Ruiz-Zorrilla visits NVSU
On April 26 - May 6, 2016, Prof. Mark Ruiz-Zorrilla, Coordinator of International Programs of the University of Barcelona, paid another visit to Nizhnevartovsk State University. During his visit, Prof. Marc Ruiz-Zorrilla took part in the seminar “Joint and double degree programs: Russian and international experience", where he introduced NVSU members to the peculiarities of the joint programs implemented in the University of Barcelona and made an overview of summer schools offered by UdB in 2016.

06.05.2016 A seminar on joint programs in NVSU
On April 28, 2016, NVSU held a seminar “Joint and double degree programs: Russian and international experience” joined by the heads of university departments and teachers of NVSU. The agenda of the seminar included issues of developing and implementing joint educational programs, their goals and schemes, European approach and quality standards, recognition procedures etc. The seminar participants were welcomed by Denis Pogonyshev, Vice-Rector for Licensing and Accreditation, emphasizing the fact that joint educational programs are an essential tool of integrating NVSU into the European research area and international higher education space.

04.05.2016 TEMPUS IV meeting: A visit to Belgium
On April 19-21, 2016, NVSU took part in a meeting within Tempus IV project “Evaluation of Quality of Cooperation in Education Ecosystem as a Mechanism for Building Professional Competencies - E3M” held by Artesis Plantijn University College (Antwerp, Belgium). The meeting welcomed the representatives of the project partner institutions – JAMK University of Applied Sciences (Jyväskylä, Finland), Artesis Plantijn University College (Antwerp, Belgium), Nizhnevartovsk State University (Nizhnevartovsk, Russia), Academy of Labor and Social Relations (Moscow, Russia), Voronezh State University (Russia), Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia (St. Petersburg, Russia).

29.04.2016 NVSU member takes part in Fulbright professional development program
Oksana Yakovishak, NVSU International Office Project Manager, has recently returned from an internship in the United States taken within the Russian International Education Administrators (RIEA) Program. She became one of 8 Russian Fulbright grant awardees. The program lasted 3 months, from mid-January to mid-April 2016. The program is geared towards individuals who facilitate international exchange programs, including hosting international students, professors and visiting guests as well as providing information support to Russian students, faculty and administrators traveling abroad for academic study and research.

26.04.2016 A seminar on the European Diploma Supplement in NVSU
On April 21, NVSU held an information seminar on “Issuing the European Diploma Supplement”. The agenda of the seminar included general presentation of the European Diploma Supplement to be issued, its structure, benefits, and application procedure. Starting from 2016, NVSU is launching the issue the European Diploma Supplement to its graduates. The European Diploma Supplement is an official document accompanying a higher education diploma, providing a standardized description of the nature, level, context, content and status of the studies completed by its holder.

28.03.2016 NVSU joins the workshop on Joint Programmes and Double Degree Programmes: Strategy, Management and Implementation (University of Novi Sad, Serbia)
On March 17-18, 2016, Nadezhda Nemchinova, Head of NVSU International Offie, took part as a Bologna process expert in the workshop on Joint Programmes and Double Degree Programmes: Strategy, Management and Implementation held in the University of Novi Sad (Serbia). Joint programs are the hallmark of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) designed to enhance the mobility of students and university staff, promote mutual learning and cooperation opportunities, and develop high-quality programmes.

16.03.2016 NVSU has joined a kick-off meeting on Nordic-Russian Cooperation program
On February 29 - March 02, 2016, JAMK University of Applied Sciences welcomed the participants of the kick-off meeting on the project Bridging the cooperation gap- Nordic-Russian Network for International Relations in Higher Education. The project was approved for funding within 2012-2015 Call for proposals of the Nordic-Russian Cooperation program.

27.01.2016 "Study in Europe: Belgium". Information workshop in NVSU
On January 20, 2016, NVSU held an information workshop on studying in Europe, this time devoted to Belgium. The seminar was attended by the members of Artesis Plantjin University College (Antwerp, Belgium). The seminar was a part of the series of workshops devoted to European education. The seminar started with a welcome speech from Denis Pogonyshev, Vice-Rector for Licensing and Accreditation, who spoke on the development of academic mobility as one of the priorities of the university’s international activities. Student mobility promotes cultural and academic exchanges and cooperation, increases personal capital and helps acquiring new skills for successful career and social life after graduation.

26.01.2016 Members of Artesis Plantijn Univeristy College have visited NVSU
On January 18-21, an official delegation from Artesis Plantijn Univeristy College (Antwerp, Belgium) visited NVSU. The delegation included Peter Partoens, Coordinator in Research and Internationalization, Hilde Hoefnagels, International Coordinator, and Inge Verhaegen, International Coordinator. NVSU started its collaboration with Artesis Plantijn Univeristy College in 2013, within Tempus project "Evaluation of Quality of Cooperation in Education Ecosystem as a Mechanism for Building Professional Competencies - E3M".

25.01.2016 A NVSU student has returned from JAMK University of Applied Sciences
Andrey Andrianov, a 4th-year student from the NVSU Faculty of Information Technologies and Mathematics, has spent an autumn semester in JAMK University of Applied Sciences (Jyväskylä, Finland). Here the student shares his impressions of the visit. In JAMK Andrey took a course of Software Engineering. He was happy to receive an opportunity to study in Finland, considering the solid reputation of the university and high quality of the Finnish education, especially in technical areas.

12.01.2016 NVSU students have returned from the University College Southern Denmark
4th year NVSU students Regina Sagdatdinova and Anna Nikitina, studying at the Faculty of Humanities, won the university competition to study at the University College of Southern Denmark - UCSYD in Aabenraa. They spent 5 months (August-December 2015) studying the college program of Crossing Borders: Cultural Diversity in Early Years Education. The students were awarded Erasmus + scholarship, which is the most prestigious European student grant. It covers all costs of stay and study in a foreign university (cost of travel, accommodation, visa costs, etc.).

21.12.2015 NVSU takes part in the international training program at Charles University
On December 9-19, 2015, a NVSU academic member Natalia Samokhina, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Assistant Professor at the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences and Tourism, took part in the training program on the Educational Systems of the European Union: Prospects for Cooperation and Development (Prague, Czech Republic). The program included discussions of the following issues: • higher education system in the European Union and the Czech Republic: stages of development, public and private universities;• teaching models and strategies: public and private universities in the Czech Republic and the European Union; specifics of curriculum development in Czech HEIs (as exemplified by Charles University); • modern e-learning technologies; publications in journals Scopus and Web of Science; raising awareness on European funds, grants, programs and funding sources.

24.11.2015 One more Fulbright grant for a NVSU member!
Oksana Yakovishak, Project Manager at the NVSU International Office, has won a Fulbright grant 2015 for Russian International Education Administrators - RIEA. This program is open to Russian university administrators who work with international students at their universities. The goal of this program is to enhance and improve professional skills of university administrators who work with incoming international students and teachers from around the world and especially from the USA. It helps Russian international education professionals gain critical knowledge surrounding the needs of these students in the areas of academic placement, insurance and medical requirements, safety, cross-cultural challenges, and language training. Sharing best practices is an important component of the Fulbright program.

24.11.2015 Joining a cooperation event with Studentenwerk Karlsruhe
On October 18-25, 2015, following an official invitation, Larisa Novikova, Assistant Professor at the Department of Linguistics and Translation, and Daria Borisova, a first-year master student, joined the International Resident Advisor Symposium in Strasbourg, Karlsruhe. The trip was funded by Studentenwerk Karlsruhe and CNOUS. NVSU representatives made a report on the academic facilities and structures and support provided to students in NVSU. The audience was particularly interested to learn about the availability of the student residence hall, types and amount of university scholarships, and student life and events in NVSU.

20.10.2015 NVSU has taken part in a Tempus Project workshop
On October 12-16, 2015, the Educational Institution of Trade Unions & Higher Professional Education in Moscow held the international research and practical workshop “Exploitation of best European practices in the cooperation between Russian HEIs and working-life organizations” organized within “Evaluation of Quality of Cooperation in Education Ecosystem as a Mechanism for Building Professional Competencies - E3M” Tempus Project. The workshop welcomed project representatives from Finland, Spain, Austria, Belgium, and Russia. NVSU was presented by Irina Istomina, Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, Gennady Malgin, Head of the Department of Power Engineering, Nadezhda Nemchinova, Head of the International Office, and Oksana Yakovishak, Project Manager of the International Office.

19.10.2015 NVSU members have won an Eranet-Plus grant
Tatiana Storchak, associate professor at the Department of Ecology, and Irina Ziyazova, lecturer at the Department of Linguistics and Translation, have been awarded an ERANET-PLUS shcolarship. ERANET-PLUS is an academic mobility program funded by the European Union. It is aimed at developing the cooperation between the European and Russian universities through new mobility opportunities for master, postgraduate and doctoral students.

11.09.2015 NVSU students have returned from the summer school in Barcelona
In July 2015, bachelor and master students from the Faculty of Humanities and Svetlana Zykova, Associate Professor at the Department of Linguistics and Translation Studies, took part in the International Summer School of the University of Barcelona. Within the Cooperation Agreement between two universities, the University of Barcelona provided 5 scholarships
