SPANISH WINTER SCHOOL IN SALAMANCA OPENS NEW HORIZONS FOR OUR STUDENTS

January 7 - 20, 2013: First NSUH students used an opportunity to spend their winter vacation in Spain and take winter school course at Mester Academy in Salamanca.

Apart from intensive Spanish language and culture course, the program included various social and cultural activities, such as salsa classes, cooking classes as well as many local visits and excursions to:

Plaza Mayor, Convento de San Esteban (San Esteban Church and Monastery), Casa de las Conchas (The House of the Shells), Catedral Nueva ( the New Cathedral), Catedral Vieja (the Old Cathedral), University of Salamanca, Museum of Art Nouveau and Art Deco (Casa Lis).

On weekend, our students visited one of the liveliest European capitals Madrid and one of the oldest Spanish cities Segovia.

Winter school in Spain is a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves into fascinating Spanish culture, improve language skills, make new friends, visit new places and just get lots of new impressions. One thing for sure is that all students who spent their winter vacation in Spain had a truly fantastic and memorable time.
