NSUH STUDENT SHARE THEIR STUDY-ABROAD EXPERIENCE

On December 18th, 2012, NSUH assembly hall hosted a press-conference with NSUH first exchange students. As part of the bilateral agreement between NSUH and JAMK University of applied sciences, 4-year students of Tourism and Consumer Services Faculty Maria Chernyshova and Mikhail Tokmachev spent 1 semester studying in a partner University.

When international students go to a foreign country, they are sure to face certain difficulties, such as a language barrier, unfamiliar surroundings, everyday life peculiarities and many more alike. That is why all NSUH students interested in exchange programs had a chance to ask Maria and Mikhail their questions and learn more about studying and living abroad.

Press-conference attendees asked mainly about a procedure to get visa, insurance, accommodation, necessary things to have when going to Finland, now to buy a bicycle, etc. Maria and Mikhail shared their impressions, showed lots of photographs they took in the city of Jyväskylä and JAMK University.

We hope that studying experience gained in Finland opened new opportunities for Maria and Mikhail and might be beneficial for the success of their future careers. Studying abroad not only gives a chance to get a high-quality training but also improve one’s foreign language skills, make new friends and simply visit new places. Foreign university diploma is a favorable investment into one’s future professional accomplishments.  Do not miss your chance!
