October 29-30, 2012:  NSUH hosted a training workshop “Project development in the framework of European Commission programs devoted to cooperation in education and research”, conducted by the Center of European projects and programs of Voronezh State University.

Development of international projects is one of the essential strategic tools for any Higher Education Institution. In order to promote this area of activities, NSUH organized a 2 days training for Deans of faculties, heads of the departments, teachers and postgraduate students.

The workshop was conducted by Alla Akulshina, an expert in European projects and Programs, a director of the center of European projects and programs of Voronezh State University.

Mrs. Akulshina delivered an effective talk on numerous aspects of international cooperation in Higher Education Institutions, mainly focusing on European practices, strategies of internationalization, information support in international collaboration.  Considerable emphasis was placed on detailed descriptions and terms of participation in such European commission programs as Seventh Framework Programme, Erasmus Mundus and Tempus IV.

The second day of the workshop was devoted to practical training on some basics of project development. All the participants tried to write a PROFILE of organization (depending on the requirement of a program), discussed methods of partner search and prepared an example of a work package for TEMPUS project. After that, the expert analyzed most common mistakes made by the participants, as well as outlined some useful recommendations.

All the participants received certificates on successful completion of the short-term training workshop.
