"Strategies of Biodiversity Conservation in the European Union and Russia: Best Practices and Cooperation Prospects"
This panel session will be devoted to finalizing results of the Jean Monnet Project “Promoting biodiversity conservation in Russian Federation via advanced EU practices”. The panel session should become a platform for analyzing and discussing the best EU practices in biodiversity conservation and their applicability in biodiversity assessment and conservation in the areas affected by oil and gas production, areas under increasing anthropogenic pressure (in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Area–Yugra), as well as for analyzing the potential for applying the EU practices in the Russian Federation.

The European Union Practices of Standardization in Quality Management Systems
The panel session is devoted to summing up the outcomes of the Jean Monnet Module “Standardization in Product Quality Management: EU Experience and Cooperation Prospects” and discussing the international practices in applying quality standards, with an account for future cooperation prospects for Russia.
The panel session will include discussions of the following issues: promoting the importance of standardization for the Russian, European and global economies; studying the experience of European countries in launching internal markets for products based on modernized national standards; developing a quality management system based on harmonized standards. The academic discussion within the conference will enable publishing the results of the study, informing the widest possible audience of the recommendations concerning the development of product quality management systems and popularizing related research.
