NVSU students continue to successfully participate in the competitions of the European Erasmus + program within the framework of the Key Action 1: "Individual mobility of students and teachers". Erasmus + scholarship is the most prestigious European grant for students and teachers. The scholarship covers all costs associated with staying and studying at a foreign university (transportation costs, accommodation, visa costs, etc.).

NVSU together with University College of Southern Denmark (Denmark) and JAMK University of Applied Sciences in Jyväskylä (Finland) participated in the call for mobility funding. Following the results of the 2017 call, Nizhnevartovsk State University was granted funding for mobility with the JAMK University of Applied Sciences in Jyvaskyla (Finland) and the University College of Southern Denmark (Denmark).

According to the transparecy requirements of the Erasmus + program for objective selection system for candidates, Nizhnevartovsk State University regularly announces calls for applications for students to participate in mobility projects with partner universities. As a result of the 2017 competition,grants for mobility for the training in European universities were awarded to the following NVSU students:

• Anastasia Davydova, student of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology - University College of Southern Denmark, Aabenraa (Denmark)
• Ruslan Elykomov, student of the Faculty of Information Technology and Mathematics - JAMK University of Applied Sciences, Jyvaskyla (Finland)

Academic mobility of NVSU students is also financed from the funds of a personal rector grant. It gives students an opportunity to complete a semester study abroad. As a result of the 2018 competition, the grant holder was:

• Alexey Tikhonov, student of the Faculty of Information Technology and Mathematics - JAMK University of Applied Sciences, Jyväskylä (Finland)
