Danish Students Learn about Russian Culture

March 2-6, an orientation week for students from the University College of Southern Denmark (UC SYD) was held at Nizhnevartovsk State University. At the moment, second year students UCSYD, Fabian Pfannenschmidt and Zoer Zeidler are doing practical training within Erasmus + student exchange program (Key direction 1: Credit mobility). They are trained at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology in the field of Pedagogical Education.

During the orientation week, foreign students got acquainted with the city and the university, where they will study for three months, made new friends, and also got acquainted with the culture and customs of our country.

                               

On March 6, the specialists of the International Office organized a Cultural Day dedicated to Russian culture and traditions. Yana Kraychinskaya, a specialist of the International Office, presented students with information about the history of the foundation of the Nizhnevartovsk State University. Students of the Faculty of Humanities told about our city, its history and sights. Victoria Kondratieva, coordinator for academic mobility, told new students about cooperation between tNVSU and the University College of Southern Denmark.

In turn, students from Denmark shared interesting facts about Denmark and Danish culture. Within the framework of the information session "I am an International Student" Anastasia Turabova and Alina Shakirova shared their impressions about studying at the University College of Southern Denmark during the fall semester of 2017 under the Erasmus + Program. Students of the Faculty of Humanities studying at UCSYD this semester, Julia Bumagina and Svetlana Yemelyanova prepared a video message from Denmark in which they talked about the University College of Southern Denmark, the learning process, as well as their impressions. The day of culture ended with a quiz "How well do you know Russia?"
