Student from University of Barcelona experiences Russian culture and hospitality

University of Barcelona and NVSU have a long-standing partnership that allows both sides to have exchange programs for both students and faculty. During the last three years universities have successfully participated in academic mobility projects within Eranet and Erasmus+ programmes. From 2013 to 2017 six NVSU teachers and eight students took training at the  University of Barcelona. This year the universities have been awarded mobility grants within the Erasmus+ programme,  Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals. As a result, the number of NVSU students and teachers to study or take internships at the University of Barcelona will double comparing to the previous year.

In 2017 Nizhnevartovsk State University welcomes the first exchange student from the University of Barcelona, Rebeca Segura Renau. Rebeca is a 3rd year Bachelor student of the Faculty of Philology where she studies Modern languages and culture. During the autumn semester 2017 Rebeca will be studying at NVSU, the Department for Linguistics and Translation Studies.

On September 7-14, 2017 within orientation week, Rebeca had  an opportunity to learn more about the city and the university where she is going to spend the next five months. During orientation, the Day of Spanish and Russian cultures was arranged by the International staff members jointly with the students of the Faculty of Humanities. The faculty students delivered  presentations about Nizhnevartovsk, its history and landmarks as well as interesting facts about Russia. Rebeca shared the information about Spanish culture and history of the University of Barcelona.
