NVSU and University College of South Denmark have a long-standing partnership that allows both sides to have exchange programs for both students and faculty. As a part of academic mobility programs such as Denmark national study grant and Erasmus+ scholarship program, 8 NVSU students have participated in the exchange program at the University College of South Denmark since 2014.
Karen Rosenberg Hansen and Christina Hansen, 2nd year students of the University College of South Denmark became the first exchange students from Denmark at NVSU. The students did their practical training at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology in NVSU from March till May, 2016.
Karen and Christina were awarded Erasmus+ scholarship, one of the most prestigious European student grants. The scholarship covers all costs associated with the stay and study at a foreign university (travel costs, accommodation costs, visa, etc).
While at NVSU, the students went through practical pedagogical training in 4 education institutions of Nizhnevartovsk: kindergarten #48 “Zolotoy petushok”, kindergarten #17 “Ladushki”, secondary school #42, and Nizhnevartovsk special needs boarding school. The students also took a short intensive Russian language course.
Karen and Chrisitna also took an active part in the international seminar “Building capacities of international units and departments” which was held in NVSU 16-19, May as a part of a joint project coordinated by the University College of South Denmark “Bridging the cooperation gap: Nordic-Russian Network for International Relations in Higher Education”. Both students shared their study abroad experience and impressions during the seminar devoted to European education opportunities.
Karen and Chrisitna were awarded Russian language and practical pedagogical training certificates.
