Members of Artesis Plantijn Univeristy College have visited NVSU

On January 18-21, an official delegation from Artesis Plantijn Univeristy College (Antwerp, Belgium) visited NVSU. The delegation included Peter Partoens, Coordinator in Research and Internationalization, Hilde Hoefnagels, International Coordinator, and Inge Verhaegen, International Coordinator. NVSU started its collaboration with Artesis Plantijn Univeristy Collegein 2013, within Tempus project "Evaluation of Quality of Cooperation in Education Ecosystem as a Mechanism for Building Professional Competencies - E3M".

AP members had an official meeting with NVSU administration to discuss the promising cooperation within academic exchange, joint work on Erasmus + project and other international grant programs, as well as opportunities for practical training and internships for students. NVSU and AP discussed the work plan for 2016-2017 and confirmed their intention to submit a joint application to Erasmus + Key Action 1: Credit mobility. If successful, the project will provide an opportunity for NVSU and AP students to join short-term training programs funded by the European Commission. Erasmus + scholarship is the most prestigious European grant for students, covering all living and study costs for international students going for training in a foreign university.

During their visit, AP members met the deans of NVSU faculties and heads of departments, including the Faculty of Humanities, Pedagogy and Psychology, Art and Design, Economics and Management, and also visited the Faculty and Geography and Natural Sciences, and the Faculty of Information Technologies and Mathematics.

 

The meetings were devoted to the topical joint educational activities and research, resulting in a number of agreements.

In addition, AP members took part in the traditional seminar on Education in Europe, this type devoted to education in Belgium, made a presentation on Artesis Plantijn Univeristy Collegeand held a quiz “What do you know about Belgium?” for seminar participants who were eager to answer all the questions about Belgian culture, history, traditions and customs.

NVSU also organized tours to the Russian Museum and the open-air museum “Sibirskiye Unvaly” to make the Belgian guests acquainted with the local Russian, Khanty and Mansy traditions and culture.
