One more Fulbright grant for a NVSU member!

Oksana Yakovishak, Project Manager at the NVSU International Office, has won a Fulbright grant 2015 for Russian International Education Administrators - RIEA.

This program is open to Russian university administrators who work with international students at their universities.

The goal of this program is to enhance and improve professional skills of university administrators who work with incoming international students and teachers from around the world and especially from the USA. It helps Russian international education professionals gain critical knowledge surrounding the needs of these students in the areas of academic placement, insurance and medical requirements, safety, cross-cultural challenges, and language training. Sharing best practices is an important component of the Fulbright program.

RIEA program offers an intensive 3 month internship (February through April 2016) in the international offices of the leading U.S. universities. The program also includes meetings with the U.S. State Department representatives and a practicum in the international student office of a host university in the U.S., enabling the participants direct experience with foreign guests and students and good language practice.

We wish Oksana Yakovishak successful and fruitful training in the USA!
