On May 13-15, 2015, Professor Mar Ruiz-Zorrilla, Coordinator of international programs of the University of Barcelona, visited Nizhnevartovsk State University. During his visit, Marc Ruiz-Zorrilla took part in “Study in Spain” workshop held within a series of seminars devoted to studying in Europe. Here Professor Ruiz-Zorrilla introduced NVSU students and teachers to the academic mobility programs offered by the University of Barcelona, in particular, to the International Summer School at UdB.
During the seminar, Anatoly Karpov, NVSU President, awarded Professor Marc Ruiz-Zorrilla for his substantial contribution to the development of cooperation between the University of Barcelona and Nizhnevartovsk State University.
NVSU students were eager to know about student life in the University of Barcelona and assistance provided to the Spanish students during the study process. They were also interested to find out how popular the University of Barcelona is for Russian students participating in bilateral students exchange programs.
During the visit, Professor Marc Ruiz-Zorrilla had an official meeting with NVSU administration to discuss the issues of framework agreement between the universities, major promising areas for future cooperation in terms of academic mobility, further training courses, and cooperation in terms of international projects. He also met with the representatives of the Departments of Tourism, Documentation Study and General History, Linguistics and Translation, Ecology, Geography, and Fine Arts. During these sessions, the Professor discussed major areas for cooperative work with the deans and heads of NVSU departments.
