Studying in China

In September 2010 NSUH graduate Natalya Komarova became a Master’s degree student of the Northeast Normal University. She participated in the scholarship contest announced by The Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China for foreign students. Natalya got into the top-80 students selected among the other candidates and was invited to China.

According to the curriculum, the first year of studying was devoted to the Chinese language learning: grammar, listening, speaking and writing. Natalya says, the Chinese language course she took at NSUH, (Faculty of Professional Supplementary Education) turned out to be very useful during the first academic year. The knowledge, acquired during that course helped Natalya to get used to leaving in China.              

A tour to the Great Wall of China

 After the first year of studying Natalya successfully passed her exams and got 98 points out of 100.

  The next 3 years would be devoted to the master degree work on the specialization: Geographic Information Systems. Natalya’s scientific advisor, a professor of Northeast Normal University, would guide her through the education course. Natalya is happy with the possibility to get a dipper immersion in her favorite subjects, and to study the topic from the Chinese scientists’ point of view.

 Natalya lives in the city of Changchun, which has several universities, working with student from other countries. During the first year of studying Natalya made a lot of new friends.
