NVSU students make a return visit to Germany within the translation project of Studentenwerk Karlsruhe web-site

Olga Bazhutina, Valeria Blagodareva and Natalia Yukhnevich, the students of the Faculty of Humanities, together with Larisa Novikova, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of Linguistics and Translation Department, visited Karlsruhe, Baden-Baden, Heidelberg (Germany) and Strasbourg (France) on September 15-21, 2014. 

This trip was made possible through the translation of Studentenwerk Karlsruhe German web-site into Russian, completed by the students and lecturers of the NVSU Faculty of Humanities.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

During the trip the students had a chance to learn about various aspects of the International Student Center, Student Council on Culture and Communication, and other services of Studentenwerk, as well as to take part in the opening of "Hallo, Deutschland!" festival held in NVSU in November 2013. Also the participants of the tour were able to watch the matriculation ceremony of French and German freshmen and establish contacts with the community of Russian-speaking Germans in Karlsruhe, as well as to plan new ways of cooperation between NVSU and Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences.

The German colleagues organized a rich cultural program of the visit paying special attention to the cultural and historical aspects and local traditions, as well as to its educational potential. The translation project took much effort, which was equally rewarded with visits to magnificent castles, museums, churches and palaces. The tour participants enjoyed beautiful landscapes and scenery, rich local history and friendly people of Baden-Württemberg.
