06.10.2021 The call is now open for the course “Russian Philology and Literature” for international students
The course aims at providing fundamentals in Russian philology and literature, developing communication skills in Russian, ability to analyze and evaluate the phenomena of Russian language and literature in a broader linguistic and literary context. The course introduces the history of Russian literature, theory of language and writing studies.

04.10.2021 IХ International Scientific and Practical Conference at Nizhnevartovsk State University
IХ International Scientific and Practical Conference "Culture, science, education: problems and prospects"(KSE 2021) will be held on November 10, 2021 at Nizhnevartovsk State University with face-to face and online participation. The conference welcomes teaching staff and staff members of educational institutions, researchers, practitioners, PhD students and young scientists. It aims to discuss relevant problems and prospects of culture, science and education development.

29.09.2021 Exchange programmes for NVSU students
NVSU students actively participate in exchange programs. Nizhnevartovsk State University was granted funding for mobility with JAMK University of Applied Sciences (Finland), University College of South Denmark, University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), Lapland University of Applied Science (Finland), University of Bergen (Norway), Washburn University (USA), Umeå University (Sweden).

14.04.2021 Research Competition at Nizhnevartovsk State University
Nizhnevartovsk State University has held Student Research Competition among Russian educational institutions. It aimed to attract students to research activities and studying environment and climate change impact on the human health in Russia and EU countries. All works of participants were revised by experts.

13.04.2021 Interactive game
The Department for Ecology held an interactive game "Climate change on the Earth" within Jean Monnet Module "Environment, Health and Climate change: Facing the challenges and Adapting to Impacts: Experience of the European Union". The game is aimed to raise awareness about environment issues and climate change in EU countries.

12.04.2021 Presentation Competition at the Faculty of Ecology and Engineering within Jean Monnet Module
3-year Bachelor’s Degree students of the Faculty of Ecology and Engineering took part in a presentation competition within the course "Environment and Climate Change: the Experience of European Union ". In this way, the University attracts students to research activities aimed at studying current trends in climate change in Russia and EU countries.

07.04.2021 The call is now open for the course “Biology” for international students
The course runs from August 1, 2021 to December 27, 2021. The Erasmus+ Programme is a European funding programme offering university students a possibility of studying or doing an internship abroad in another country for a period of at least 2 months and maximum 12 months per cycle of studies. Erasmus+ now offers the possibility to go way beyond the European borders as well.

31.03.2021 Online lecture "Introduction to Scottish peatlands" for ISInCAR participants
Roxane Andersen, Senior Research Fellow of the University of the Highlands and Islands (Scotland) gave a thematic lecture for participants of the project "International scientific integration of early career researchers (ISInCAR)". The Research Supervisor of the University of the West of England will give the last lecture for project participants.

25.03.2021 Online-forum "Research Consortia" within the UK-Russia University Alliance Programme
Online-forum "Research Consortia" was held within the UK-Russia University Alliance Programme. Aim of the Project: to engage Russian top universities and connect the next generation of Russian science leaders with the UK by expanding partnership and professional development opportunities (to provide a platform for longer term ambitions of engaging universities and researchers).

16.03.2021 Lecture from Bangor University for ISInCAR participants
In the framework of the project “International scientific integration of early career researchers (ISInCAR)” Chris Freeman, Professor in Biology of the School of Natural Sciences, Bangor University, gave the first thematic lecture from British partner universities titled “Are wetlands the most important ecosystem on our planet?”

16.03.2021 Final thematic lecture from Russian partner universities for ISInCAR participants
Tatiana Storchak, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Head of the Department for Ecology of Nizhnevartovsk State University, NVSU Research Supervisor of the Project, gave the final lecture from Russian partner universities titled “Physiological and Biochemical Adaptation Mechanisms of Wetland Plants”.

19.02.2021 Online lecture "How the middle Ob’ peatlands developed and their role in the carbon cycle" for ISInCAR participants
In the framework of the international project "International scientific integration of early career researchers (ISInCAR)" Evgeny Zarov, Scientific Researcher of the UNESCO chair of the Yugra State University, YUSU Research Supervisor of the Project gave the second online lecture "How the middle Ob’ peatlands developed and their role in the carbon cycle" for project participants.

02.02.2021 Thematic lectures from ISInCAR project partners
In the framework of the international project "International scientific integration of early career researchers (ISInCAR)" Vitalii Khoroshavin, Director of the Institute of Earth Sciences of Tyumen State University, UTMN Research Supervisor of the Project gave the first online lecture "Climate change and water resources, dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena" for project participants. Participants learned climate history, main concepts in the field of climate change, its reasons of warming and potential impact.

21.12.2020 Intercultural online forum Student Vision of the World
Arina Kashapova, student of the Faculty of Humanities, took part in the Intercultural online forum of Omsk State Agrarian University named after P.A. Stolypin. The Forum is represented by 3 launch programs.It aims to create a digital space for intercultural exchange, expand student life and develop joint international projects.

04.12.2020 New formats of cooperation with SDI München (Germany)
Nizhnevartovsk State University is actively cooperating with University of Applied Languages (SDI München). From 23 to 27 November students of NVSU Faculty of Humanities participated in SDI online classes on German-Russian. NVSU students and teaching staff got acquainted with the main approaches to translating different types of texts and materials.

01.12.2020 The research webinar “Environment, Health and Climate Change: the Experience of European Union” was held at NVSU
On November 25, NVSU held the research webinar “Environment, Health and Climate Change: the Experience of European Union” at the Faculty of Ecology and Engineering. The webinar was organized at BigBlueButton platform within Jean Monnet Module "Environment, Health and Climate change: Facing the challenges and Adapting to Impacts: Experience of the European Union / 600178-EPP-1-2018-1-RU-EPPJMO-MODULE/CLIMEU”. It attracted more than 70 attendees.

24.11.2020 The research webinar “Environment, Health and Climate Change: the Experience of European Union” at NVSU
On November 25, NVSU will hold the research webinar “Environment, Health and Climate Change: the Experience of European Union” within Jean Monnet Module "Environment, Health and Climate change: Facing the challenges and Adapting to Impacts: Experience of the European Union"/ 600178-EPP-1-2018-1-RU-EPPJMO-MODULE, co-financed by European Commission within the framework of Jean Monnet Actions.

06.11.2020 NVSU became a member of International Society for Education Through Art (InSEA)
Nizhnevartovsk State University came joined International Society for Education Through Art (InSEA). This is a non-governmental organization and official partner of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization UNESCO. The  InSEA membership includes 1184 professional and organisational members in 72 countries.  

03.11.2020 NVSU and Ludong University applied for funding within the framework of the RFBR competition for projects
Jointly with the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR) holds competitions for the best scientific projects. The Department for Geography of Nizhnevartovsk State University and Ludong University (Yantai, China) applied for funding with the project “Landscape evolution since the end of the Pleistocene on the West Siberian plain: process, development and connection to paleoclimatic changes”. Head of the project from the Russian side is Sergey Korkin, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor at NVSU Department of Geography, Chinese side is led by Ling Zeng, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Resource and Environmental Engineering, Ludong University. The consortium also includes scientific communities of NVSU, Institute of Pplant and Animal Ecology of the Ural Branchy of Russian Academy of Sciences (Yekaterinburg), Ludong University, Yantai Institute Coastal Zone Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Yantai, China).

03.11.2020 Academic mobility: Opportunities for NVSU students
NVSU has held an annual online seminar titled Academic Mobility: Opportunities for NVSU students in the framework of Erasmus+ program #ErasmusDays. It aimed at increasing student mobility and raising overall awareness about Erasmus+ program. Oksana Moroz, Head of NVSU International Office, discussed academic mobility, its types and specifics, as well as advantages of participating in academic mobility programs and areas of Erasmus+, the leading European Union program.
