The department was established as a merger of the Department for Methods of Preschool and Primary School Education and Department for General and Social Pedagogy. The department staff includes 15 members – 2 doctors of sciences, 12 candidates of sciences and 1 lecturer.
The Department provides bachelor, master and postgraduate training in the following fields:
- Pre-school education
- Primary education, psychology and teaching methods
- Social services
- Pedagogical innovations
- General pedagogy and teaching methods
The research activities of the Department are carried out within the following areas:
- Studies of integral personal development, studies of personal competence at various stages of training
- Development of spiritual and moral values of learners in the context of multicultural society
The Department members and students take regular part in various local, national and international competitions and programs.
In 2011 the Department won a title “Golden Academic Department” awarded by the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences for its achievements in development of national education.
Acting as tutors and academic advisors for student research, our department members are regularly awarded with recognition letters and certificate of merits.
