ECTS grades description

A - «Excellent» – theoretical content of the course is mastered in full without gaps; necessary practical skills of work with the studied material are formed, all tasks envisaged by the program are fulfilled; the quality of task fulfillment is assessed by a number of points close to maximum.

B - «Very good» – theoretical content of the course is mastered in full without gaps; necessary practical skills of work with the studied material are basically formed, all tasks envisaged by the program are fulfilled; the quality of most task fulfillment is assessed by a number of points close to maximum

C - «Good» – theoretical content of the course is mastered in full without gaps; some practical skills of work with the studied material are not sufficiently formed, all tasks envisaged by the program are fulfilled; the quality of no task

fulfillment is assessed by a minimum number of points; some tasks are done with mistakes.

D - «Satisfactory» – theoretical content of the course is mastered partially, but the gaps are not substantial; necessary practical skills of work with the studied material are basically formed, most tasks envisaged by the program are fulfilled; some tasks may have mistakes.

E - «Moderate» – theoretical content of the course is mastered partially; some practical skills of work are not formed, many tasks envisaged by the program are not fulfilled or the quality of some of them is assessed by a number of points close to minimum.

FX - «Conditionally unsatisfactory» – theoretical content of the course is mastered partially; necessary practical skills of work are not formed, most tasks envisaged by the program are not fulfilled or the quality of their fulfillment is assessed by a number of points close to minimum; with additional individual work on the material of the course quality increase is possible.

F - «Totally unsatisfactory» – theoretical content of the course is not mastered; necessary practical skills of work are not formed, all tasks envisaged by the program have bad mistakes; additional individual work on the material of the course will not increase quality.

You cannot get a higher grade by doing extra work.

The student has the right to appeal adequate assessment of his/her knowledge on the basis of requirements fixed by the teacher in course description

Academic failure, terms of expulsion

If the student gets one «F» grade in an obligatory discipline, course paper or practice, which is necessaryfor further successful mastering specialization inthe next semester, he/she is expelled from Universitywith the right to resume studies after one yearprovidinghe/she repeats the failed course on compensation basis. If a student gets one or two «F» grades in electivedisciplines, he or she can repeat the course duringthe next semester after paying for it. Repeated courseis considered supplementary education. If the student refuses to repeat a course, he or she is expelled.

After repeating the course to continue studying the student should get minimum «E».

If the student gets«F» or «FX» he/she is expelled no matter what other debts he/she has.

If students have not fulfilled individual plans within given period due to an illness (not longer than one month), providing they have an appropriate medical certificate or other good reason (documentarily certified), he/she should apply to the Dean’s commission, which will set the time for debt liquidation.

The Dean considers all documents submitted by the student to the commission and prolongs the attestation period. Medical certificates and sick lists should be submitted to the Dean’s office not later than three days after their closing.
